2UE's christmas appeal for the Children's Hospital at Westmead
Radio 2UE 954 will be broadcasting live from the Children’s Hospital at Westmead on Wednesday November 13 as part of the inaugural 2UE Christmas fundraising appeal.
2UE will be broadcasting live from the foyer of the hospital, kicking off with Dicko and Sarah’s Breakfast Show at 5:30am. The day will wrap up with a special program hosted by John Stanley between 8 - 9.00pm. Presenters will be joined by a number of special guests including Anthony Callea, Peter Overton, Stan Walker, Louise Sauvage, Adam Brand and players from the Western Sydney Wanderers soccer club.
2UE 954 General Manager Chris Parker said: “For the entire month of November, Sydney’s 2UE will be raising much needed funds for the patients, their families and the staff at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The Children’s Hospital at Westmead has over 3500 staff and cares for more than 70,000 children every year. In the past 12 months, over 51,000 children were presented to Emergency and over 14,000 operations were performed."
Campaigns like 2UE’s Christmas Appeal for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead will help pay for life saving equipment and vital research.
Parker continued: “These are the state’s sickest children and the aim of the appeal is to help them in any way we can this Festive Season."
Media are invited to attend the appeal throughout the day.
