For the Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital
The Good Friday Appeal Telethon is run for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne on Good Friday every year. It is the largest telethon in Australia and airs across Victoria all day on HSV-7 and Prime Television. The event has become a part of Melbourne culture every year, and continues to bring in record fund raising efforts across the entire state. The Good Friday Appeal is a unique fundraising activity that brings together people from all parts of the community in a very special way. The common goal is to raise money for The Royal Children?s Hospital in Melbourne. Individuals and businesses, clubs, schools and country towns can be seen conducting billycart races or ferret and yabby races, holding a gala ball in a grand hotel, running a golf day or shaking collection cans. The Appeal?s strength lies in the thousands of volunteers who give of their time, expertise and creativity to ensure that events are successful and the rewards are great.
Anthony has performed on 3 ocassions, in the Chnnal 7 studios for the Good Friday Appeal.
2005 - Rain

|If you?re stuck for that perfect Christmas gift this season, why not bid for some hand-made, one-of-a-kind pottery by Australia?s cutest couple, Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell. |
The pair made the festive gifts for each other during a recent interview with Andy and Adrian on community radio station JOY 94.9, and were so proud of their handiwork, they decided to auction it off on eBay, with all proceeds donated to the Dialysis Escape Line. Bidding closes on these pieces at 6pm December 19, so check out www.andyandadrian.com to see how to bid.

I have been (Secretly) on Edge for the last several weeks. Because after I saw that awesome video of Anthony and Tim making their toys for the auction and the proceeds going to Charity... well I knew I had to have it rolleyes.gif and now my high bid makes me, uhm well happy.
However I would like to see these two Objects de Art stay in Australia along with some safe place we can start to put other Anthony Memorabilia, especially for public display.
Museums, coffee shops, Anthony's favorite haunts (not your secret ones) wink.gif perhaps a hospital or in this case this Dialysis Charity, perhaps even Joy Radio may have a display case in their radio station, because of all of the public services that they are engaged with in the Melbourne Community. You get the idea.

Just to let all of you know, I received an e-mail today from Adrian of Joy Radio confirming the delivery of the Anthony and Tim Fimo Clay Objects of Art to the Dialysis Head Office in Stepney, Australia.
For those of you that may some day wish to see them ... their website is: www.dialysisescapeline.com . You may wish to notify them ahead of time, since this is a working business operation and not a museum, of your desires to look at the art work.
Thank you Anthony, Tim, Adrian, and Andy for the inspirations.

DUETING IT FOR THE KIDS
State Theatre, Sydney
Stars of the Australian music industry to shine in aid of The Australian Children’s Music Foundation
Dueting it for the Kids is a unique concert unlike anything else staged in Australia. This event brings together the cream of the recording and concert industry – both legends and newcomers – in a concert of duets with proceeds going to The Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF).
The concert is being held at the State Theatre on Monday 22nd August. The line-up is phenomenal with performances from artists including Marina Prior, John Waters, Caroline O’Connor, Jessica Mauboy, Lee Kernaghan, Diesel, Antoinette Halloran, Catherine Britt, Danielle Spencer, Dave Faulkner, Debra Byrne, Doug Parkinson, Leo Sayer, Murray Cook, Peter Northcote, Ross Wilson, Steve Balbi, Don Spencer, Steve Kilbey, Tim Freedman, Wendy Matthews, Glenn Shorrock and more to be announced. The MC’s for this extravaganza will be Adam Spencer and James Valentine from 702 ABC Sydney.
All funds raised at this event go towards music programs that the ACMF run for disadvantaged and Indigenous youth across Australia. The Foundation was established in 2002 by Don Spencer OAM in response to the fact that over 75% of public schools in Australia no longer have a specialty music teacher. “Each week, our incredible teachers provide music education for children who, in many cases, have suffered severe physical and emotional abuse almost impossible to comprehend. Through music we bring joy, enhance imagination and creativity and give these children the chance to dream”.
Tickets are $120 A reserve/$99 B reserve (transaction fees may apply). To book tickets, please go to www.ticketmaster.com.au or phone 136 100.
