Anthony Callea has a new love song to sing about.
The Aria award winning singer is set to marry his partner of seven years, fellow singer and former Home And Away actor, Tim Campbell.
The couple confirmed their engagement to Woman's Day magazine.
"I thought, ‘Actually, I do want to marry you – but I don’t want to get down on one knee!’” Tim, 38, told Woman’s Day.
"We’re the most non-traditional couple. I wish I had a romantic story about it all on the Sydney Harbour Bridge or something."
Rather, it was a casual proposal says Callea, 31, who rose to fame as a 21-year-old on Australian Idol.
"We were sitting on the couch and I was on my second scotch and Tim was on his first white wine and we made the decision there and then," Callea explained.
"I’m sure I had my Ugg boots on," Tim joked.
“I totally fell in love with his beautiful spirit,” tells Anthony. “And I fell in love with someone with a massive heart,” says Tim.
Since announcing their news, they have been inundated with well wishes.
